First Collaboration: Try Something Real

Why This Matters

Reading about AI is not the same as using AI.

The gap between the two is where most adoption stalls, not because people decide against it, but because they never have a first experience compelling enough to want a second one. This exercise is designed to close that gap. The prompt below is engineered to produce something useful on the first try, not because AI is magic, but because it puts your existing expertise at the center of the interaction. You are not asking AI to do something it knows. You are asking it to help you express and develop something you know. That distinction matters. The experience feels like amplification, not replacement.

How To Do It:
Think of a professional insight, principle, or observation you hold about your work. This should be something you believe based on experience or something you’ve never had time to fully articulate or write down. Feed it to the prompt below. What comes back will be a structured, developed version of your own thinking which you can then edit, adapt, and own entirely.

First Collaboration Prompt:
Copy the prompt below and enter it into your authorized AI tool. Then, fill in the blanks with your own career information.

I have _____ years of experience in ______________________________________________.

Based on that experience, I believe ____________________________________________.

Help me develop this idea into something I could share with my team or use in my work including why it matters, what evidence or examples support it, and what practical action it suggests.
